Section 8 Review

Back in September ‘09, Section 8 was released about a week before HALO 3: ODST. Now it comes out one week before Modern Warfare 2’s DLC pack; this game can’t seem to catch a break. And that’s a shame because it deserves one. Dropping for a paltry $29.99 on the PlayStation Network Store, Section 8 won’t blow you away with visuals or a deep and engaging single-player campaign (it’s more like a tutorial). Current priorities include releasing episodic content for Klingon players, continuing to expand the scope of the missions and revamping the death penalty. Zinkievich didn’t go into detail on the latter point, but he did say that Cryptic is planning on testing out some changes on the public test server next month. At the moment, the players who die in Star Trek Online can quickly respawn and run right back into battle….
